Dr. Davis McAlister
Dr. Davis McAlister is a Clinic Faculty Doctor for the Parker University Dallas Wellness Clinic and Head of the Sports Performance Clinical Program. Dr. McAlister earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in 2003 and has been in practice for 17 years. He has presented at medical conferences nationally and internationally on topics related to implementing the latest in research-based assessment and care. Dr. McAlister is currently the team chiropractor for the WNBA team, the Dallas Wings, and the XFL team, the Dallas Renegades.
In 2008, he took over as the Health Science Program Coordinator for Little Elm Independent School District, as well as coaching football, powerlifting, track, and baseball, and operating as the district strength and conditioning coach, all while maintaining his practice. He moved to Bridgeport, TX, in 2013, to continue serving in the same capacity, in addition to serving as an Assistant Principal for discipline and an Adjunct Professor for Weatherford College, teaching Anatomy and Physiology. During his career in public education, he has received numerous awards for teaching, curriculum development, and for coaching athletes to the state level of competition. He has focused primarily on sports-related injuries for the past 10+ years. Dr. McAlister has been a team doctor for various high school sports teams and both pro- and semi-pro sports teams. He currently coaches powerlifting for the Aubrey High School Girls Powerlifting Team and coaches athletes to compete in USA Powerlifting. To his credit, Dr. McAlister has coached his powerlifters to the regional and state high school competitions and the national level for USA Powerlifting.
Dr. McAlister served in Military Intelligence for the US Army from 1991-1999 as a Human Intelligence Specialist and linguist. After his military service, he attended Mississippi State University to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Science, played football earning a bowl championship ring, and was the Founding President of the MSU Chapter of Epsilon Tau Sigma, National Veterans Fraternity. Dr. McAlister has also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Anatomy from Parker University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Sul Ross State University, and holds a Principal Administrator Certification from the Texas State Board of Education. He has certifications in Adaptive Rehabilitation, 100-hour acupuncture, concussion and kettlebell. He specializes in chiropractic treatment for sports-related injuries, rehabilitation, blood fow restriction (BFR) level 1, taping, exercise therapy, adaptive rehabilitation and soft-tissue.
